Atlas Shrugged
Atlas Shrugged is a story of a man who said that he would stop the
world and did.
Atlas Shrugged is a mystery, not about the murder of a man's body but
about the rebirth of a man's spirit.

Ayn was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and later moved to the United
States. Her whole life she'd loved capitalism while rejecting socialism
and religion.
Her father made a good living in the pharmaceutical business which
provided a good life for young Ayn. In 1970 during the Russian
Revolution the Bolshevik party took her father's business and forced
them to move.
At 21 years old she came to America arriving in New York city. She never
wanted to go back to her homeland of Russia ever again. It wasn't long
before she headed off to Hollywood to become a screen writer. She found
a job working for Cecil B. DeMille and soon met her soon to be husband
Frank O'Connor whom she was married to the rest of her life.
She died of heart failure at her home in New York City.
She has sold over 25 million books and it is said that a large bouquet
of flowers shaped like a dollar sign was placed near her casket at her
funeral.
Ayn really believed in people creating their own lives and not being
controlled by a government system. |
