January 9, 1935
Earl was born in Brooklyn New York and later went to college at Morgan
State University receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics.
Earl is the founder of Black Enterprise magazine, publisher and author.
From 1965 to 1968 Earl served as an administrative assistant to Senator
Robert F. Kennedy and one of his tasks was to oversee the arrangements
for Martin Luther King Jr"s body
to be brought home for burial.
Earl is extremely active in philanthropy as well as receiving awards for
various activities, he also sits on a number of boards throughout the
country.
Earl has been married to his wife Barbara for over 40 years and has
three sons.
