The Luck Factor

Why do some people lead happy successful lives while yet others face failure and sadness? What enables some people to have successful careers while others struggle and often find themselves trapped in jobs they do not like.

Are successful people lucky and seem to have every break in the world or do they create success by developing good habits and educating themselves.

Richard was born in 1966 and is a professor of the Public Understanding of Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire in England. You're going to find this hard to believe but he started his life as a professional magician and used magic to work his way through college.

Being fascinated by good and bad luck he created the book The Luck Factor. He soon realize most people that were lucky created their own luck by educating themselves, changing their beliefs and creating good habits.

Richard has established an international reputation for the research he has done involving psychology. He has published over 40 papers in academic journals including some articles and well respected science and nature publications.

Have not read this book yet but it does sound fascinating.

I have always had a hard time listening to people tell me about their problems in life while explaining to me how someone else is living on easy street. I used to build stairs on tract homes and seemed to make pretty good money doing it. Everyone referred to me as easy money and I heard this for years even though other people were making more money than myself.

I never seem to hear this from the people making more money or the same amount of money I was making, it was always from other people that never seem to put the effort into educating themselves or even a desire to learn how to build stairs and eventually do my job.

I have spent a lifetime listening to people tell me how good I have it and how bad they have it. Don't become one of these people and if you are this book sounds like a good place to start.

There's an old saying "The Harder I Work the Luckier I Become".

Something to think about.
